Copying essays has been with us since The Gnostic Gospels.

I didn’t have teachers who taught how to write an essay. I faked my way through.

If Chat, Google, FB helps with the learning process, so be it. That Pandora’s box is open.

But the grading process of the student need not be linked to any essay. Multiple choice, oral exams, experimenting, volunteering are other ways of evaluating.
