it was a negative foreign event that happened while Obama was in office. Their narrative was he wasn't fit to lead and had nothing but a record of failure. The problem is 1) auto industry is still here 2) banks are not great, but alright 3)energy industry is making money 4) wall street is up big 5)he has positive job creation 6)unemployment is down 7) Libya revolution and Egypt Revolution turned out not total Iraq war cluster fucks 8) no one cares about Afghanistan 9) no one cares double about Iran.

Obama isn't a huge Bush like failure. Thus a small attack on our embassy was a rallying cry that pointed to something tangible that fit the GOP narrative.

It's like talking about Bush's incredible generous and great presidency and spending 1 month talking about malaria aid to Africa because that's basically all they got.
