Dallas said no, but I never told him that. They didnt know him. I did. I knew it xould work. He was soon earning a six figure salary and was whining about his new high tax bracket of 25%. I told him that Americans who earned what he did were already paying a marginal 39.6%. Yypical European, he said thats their fault for being Americans.
He inherited his house from his dad. If he hadnt, there is no way in the world he could have afforded to live in a house inside the city of Geneva, even an old, modest duplex like he has. Competing UN agencies, oil rich Arabs and Russians, and a few rich non-affiliated people (a few of whom are even real Swiss!) drive Geneva real estate prices into the Asteroid Belt. He could probably sell his house for fortune and a half, but hed just say, maybe, but what in the world for? This was his FATHERS house after all. You cant force a Swiss to adopt Republican « money is more important » attitudes just because an American political party says they should. Most Swiss are something our Republicans are not: conservative.
