11. It's going to take a while

If they really try to be inclusive, rather than the window dressing kind of thing, they'll depress the bigot base that they've cultivated for years now. If they abandon the wedge issues, they lose the old, white, straight, scared people that they depend on. I could be totally wrong, but aside from their problems with bread and butter issues for the common person, it seems to me that realignment is going to be a bitch for them.
