6. I disagree that Christie is toast within the Republican party.

I think the Republicans are going to use Christie as an example of their "willingness" to reach across the aisle. As lame as that may be, I think they are still going to try to use it.

Christie will endear himself back into the fold before the next election. I'm not sure that he will be their candidate, but I believe he still has a very rosy future within the Republican party. After, of course, he gets a stiff talking to, and they hire him a personal trainer and a chef.
