13. Hoping democracies will prevail

In all these various would be autocracies. This just boggles my mind. Back in the day, when I was learning history in school, the autocrats were the bad guys, and democracies were what everyone supported. Just seems like that idea has gone sideways. It is hard to fathom that people would desire to be controlled in that way.
