That way he can't later say he didn't mean it that way. "Well, you wrote it that way." When he doesn't pay up (and I suppose I wouldn't expect him to), hold onto the bet slip and pull it out when he starts in again. "Remember when you said the U.S. would be at war by May 1? You're just as right now."
