13. We're getting to the point, even if you're optimistic that our system is "working"...

...that if Trump is finally held to account for something, anything at all, the actually implementation of punishment -- be it jail time or house arrest or whatever, isn't likely to happen for another two years, with two years having already passed since these crimes were committed.

If the best we can hope for is a four-year response to a blatant coup attempt, the overall system is badly broken, and is sadly lacking in providing deterrence value for future coup attempts.
