I mean, do you share guilt for what the Romans did to Carthage in 146BCE?? It was wholesale massacre... they razed the greatest city on the planet simply out of revenge.
You had no more power to stop Scipio from destroying Carthage than you had to stop the capture and exploitation of African slaves.
You can do ONE thing today.
Be a good and kind person, make life better for someone every day even if it's just with a kind word. Be politically active, vote and encourage others to vote.
Other than that... don't get mired in the mess of humanity.
Trust me... after 50 years of studying history I can tell you more blood curdling stories than you'd care to process.
Humans are vicious, cruel animals.
