He gave "permission" to what was/is already there so I think there are not an actual increase overall in racists "just" waaay more visible.

Of course that's still horrific bc we see Charlotte, Baltimore happened because of that "permission". Not to mention all the police brutality going on! That was was usually "invisible" to the larger white population till body cameras, or big cases that made the news thinking back to Yusaff Hawkings, Amadou Diallo, and more before, and since then.

I certainly worry at times for my Afro-American & Afro-Caribbean friends, and some nice former coworkers, bosses etc

On keeping keeping on got to take some serious time for yourself and take a mental, emotional vacation, so you can contribute in the future.

There's horrible stuff going on. Also beautiful, wonderful, clever, intelligence, creative, and kind and caring in action.
I'm thinking my living in a more blue city helps!
