You may not be there in the moment and the history truly is daunting, depressing. Doesn't mean after a respite you won't be motivated by the anger, the injustice, the fact that the cretins among us won't own the future unless the collective, majority We stand down and let them.
It's a battle for sure, a continuous slog. That's been the story of any/all progress from time immemorial. There are always setbacks, angry detractors, frequent violence against change, unsettling plateaus, but the march forward is just that, a continuous lean into the future.
Despair is the great enemy bc it gives oppressors space and time.
Just know people are continuing to fight, will continue to fight. For everyone.
