She kept parks and beaches closed for far too long during the pandemic and seemed to take joy in doubling down on these policies when it was shown outdoor spread wasn't common. CPS was one of the last districts to go back to in-person learning which enraged a lot of parents. She clashed pretty hard with both the police union and teacher's union. She recently said black voters should vote for her or not vote at all. Violent crime is up considerably and while it is up all over the country, it is way up in Chicago. That falls more on the Cook County State's Attorney, IMO, but Lightfoot is the mayor so she'll take the heat for the crime issues. Those are just a few things off the top of my head.
