Then Biden should fire Wray and replace him with a tougher rule of law director who demands non-political professional behavior. A new director would be confirmed by the Senate. It's in all our interests that the FBI's half-assed intel approach in 2021 isn't repeated in 2024.
Trump thought that constantly defaming the FBI would work to his advantage by weakening its agents' professionalism and adherence to their oaths. Trump's 'loyalty taint' has to be removed.
Drama queen snowflake Republicans' hollering about Biden will be just more proof that the president's decision is sound -- after all, they damn him no matter what he does. Like he cares lol.
But then he can remind them: haven't they been the ones who distrust the FBI these days?!
He's just doing what he can to help rebuild the FBI to better meet their expectations!
