It's still a bad idea to wear sports apparel that favors anything but the recognized 'home team' in most places that have really strong feelings about that team. I still like my Seattle Seahawks and Mariners, but I'm not going to wear their team logos in NYC. I might do so at the local sports bar where I'm known by the bartenders, but in five football seasons since I've moved here, I haven't done it.
