Because they are playing to their strength. Their strength is ignorance. They, like trump, love stupid people. Stupid people are the base of the Republican Party. Easily manipulated by billionaires who handpick their messengers and manipulate stupid people to vote for those handpicked messengers. And let’s not discount the Russians influence on stupid peoples brains.

Good Lord I just admitted I’m woke. An old white guy who grasps the obvious.
