4. Curiously, the Dollar Tree used to be China heaven. Now it's great for US made stuff.

I got all of our Halloween candy there - all US made (well, except the Tiger pops - Brazil). I refuse to buy tainted candy from China. It used to be completely reversed. You can get kitchen utensils, office supplies, wrapping paper, cotton swabs, and a shitload of other US made products there now - and it's still $1/item (sometimes 2/$1, like greeting cards).

On the flip side, WalMart used to be all ABOUT "bring it home to the USA". Now I'd be shocked if someone found anything in the store that isn't made in China. K-Mart still has US-made goods and they obviously actively seek them out. Ame's and Jamesway used to be heavy on US-made goods, but both have gone tits up for unrelated reasons.

Sometimes you just have no alternative - anywhere - but one thing I WILL NOT buy if it isn't made in the US is our flag. That's treason in my book.
