That means people who do not slant either left or right. It is not useful to have hosts on those shows who skew the conversation in either direction. Maddow, etc., are editorialists. I don't want an editorialist, even one whose views I agree with, moderating these shows. I want someone who will ask insighful questions, hold the guests' feet to the fire, and add something besides ideology to the discourse. We shouldn't want to "command the memes"; what we should want is more honesty and objectivity.
