33. I guess I'm hoping they'll be shocked into

reconsidering some part of their world view. I'm not religious, but I think most people who are can be rational.

The only person in my workplace to appear every day for the past several weeks with an Obama button on (and management is expressly Republican) has a Divinity degree and runs a summer surf camp through his church. He is devout, but smart, and he's had it with how hard it's become for so many people to just get by.

I'm hoping this loss will jar some of the heretofore less rational Republicans into reconsidering some of their assumptions, religious and otherwise.

Too much to ask?
