Good points but futile to post them on DU. References to religion will always be vigorously attacked on DU by aggressively anti religion posters. They are as devoted to denouncing people who don't share their view against religion as Evangicals are who denounce people who don't share their view for religion.

Being aggressively anti religion toward others is not inherent to atheism. There are atheists who simply don't accept any religious view or belief for themselves. They feel free to state their view without feeling any need to go on a mission against people who are religious.

It's futile to post to them the points that you made. They will never tolerate the existence of religion, just as fanatically religious people will never tolerate the existence of atheism.
