Bill Maher goes full MAGA - says Dems party of slavery and he needs to be harder on left than right

18. I agree that Maher is an a.h. not worth watching.

But, in the interest of accuracy, I disagree with a couple things in the OP. Maher is a Libertarian, not a Republican. He also disliked Trump intensely while Trump was in office and verbally attacked him constantly.

As a Libertarian, Maher is no friend to the left and never was. His misogynistic "jokes" turned me off of him years ago. His preening during his monologues is annoying. He acts like a child performing for parents or other adults and then waiting for the applause and pats on the back. His attacks on covid precautions were irresponsible.

During the pandemic, while comedians like Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, and Seth Meyers performed from home without an audience, Maher used a stage and canned laughter to imitate performance with an audience, as if no one noticed that there was a pandemic. I guess he needed to hear praise in the form of laughter in order to perform, like a child who needs adults to clap and say, "Isn't he cute?"

Maher is an a.h., but an insignificant one. Not worth watching or getting worked up about.
