6. I was wondering, "Who names their kid Trammel?"

So I guessed that it probably came from a past surname in the family and looked up "Trammel" as surname.

In England, it apparently has Anglo-Saxon origins because it has a counter part in Germany, slightly different spelling, which means "crude, boor."

In common English usage, trammel means to deprive someone of freedom. Also, it is a netting system that traps fish.

So it appears that the family name is appropriate.
