(45 posts)My health club plays Faux in front of the elliptical machines so sometimes I am visually force fed their steaming load of bullshit (I always have headphones on, tuned to my albums). It's hard to believe that any human being with partially functioning synapses buys into it. Hate radio is even worse. There's a station here, AM 1130 that churns that garbage out 24-7. Bob Davis, Tom Emmer (ICK - almost our Governor), Batshit Beck, Lush Limpballs, Insanity, Billy Cunningham . . . I can't even stomach it enough to tune in for more than a few minutes just to laugh at them even this week. The nutters that call in from the fringes of society are actually even worse - scary, scary stuff.
My sister from Michigan hasn't called me since the election. She's unfortunately afflicted with this disease which makes her vote against her own self-interest. I had to smack her down in 2004 for her Kerry hate mails so I think she probably thinks I'm going to report her to re-education camp.
Myself on the other hand, couldn't be happier about the outcome all across the country. Here, we fought for against discrimination and won, beat back Voter ID and got our House and Senate back.
There are a lot of angry, old, racist, and dare I say "ENTITLED" white men and their ilk out there. They are severely butt injured that they are losing their iron fist rule over society. Be careful and take care of each other out there!
