(13,096 posts)He believed the propaganda. We saw that in the second debate when his "gotcha" moment turned out to be a big fat fox news lie. He should have learned his lesson then. But he did not.
The articles about Romney's grave misunderstanding of reality were fascinating. They were so confident they had the swing states in the bag, they went to PA--because they actually thought they could get a broader win.
But, it was not just fox news. Remember that the RW pundits on MSNBC, CNN, and most of the networks all said that Romney had the momentum. All of them gave the impression that Romney was going to win. Most of them ridiculed Nate Silver's predictions.
They believed their own propaganda. And that is scary. The fact that propaganda is so powerful that even the architects start to believe it--does not bode well for us.
