19. Ultimately, who cares?

Fox News (whatever) took away Carlson's show effectively ending his career. No matter what he tries to do, Carlson's reach is severely diminished and his influence will most likely disappear.

I write that because where could he go and find an equal or larger audience? Fox News is the apex of conservative broadcasting so any other outlet will be smaller. Many viewers of Fox News are lazy and have an addiction (of sorts) to the network. This loyalty doesn't really translate to the talking heads on Fox News. The majority of Fox viewers aren't going anywhere. Some may sample OANN or others but those outlets suck compared to Fox. (To be clear, I mean Fox is slicker and more professional than its competitors. Fox still sucks overall.)

Consider several examples of former Fox celebrities. What has become of Bill O'Reilly? Where is Megyn Kelly? How about Lou Dobbs? They're all nearly irrelevant today without the support of their former network. This stars remaining at Fox should think clearly about this.

For me, Carlson's cancellation is glorious. He is such an un-American ass and liar that it made my blood boil every time I would hear him speak.
