Let's turn this around: If someone was raping you, sir, what would you do to fight him off? Even if you were wearing non-sensible shoes? Or forced into a vulnerable posture? Would you strike out with your fist, even if you couldn't get much power behind the punch?

I don't think the attorney is doing the defendant any favors by fly-specking Carroll's efforts to resist being raped.
