Sorry, couldn't resist, you're so sanctimonious.
You're right - I didn't feel my undergrad degree qualified to educate my sons through the high school level. In fact, as soon as I thought they were old enough to be able to form and answer their own questions about religion, I put them back in public school. My eldest boy graduated with honors in Utah. He married early, and has a son of his own. He's a big guy, with a big laugh. Office job by day, plays guitar in a local band at night. He's happy, so I'm happy. My middle son and I moved to Florida, where he attends a magnate school for the Arts. He graduates this year. Some semesters he gets As, some semesters he gets Cs. I think his grade fluctuations have more to do with girls, and sometimes boys, than with his education. He came out as bi-sexual last year.
I find it funny that you think I don't get the big picture, when you can't even get the little details right. My kids aren't geniuses, nor are they falling behind. They are normal kids. Sometimes they do great, sometime they struggle.
You thought it would be cute to make a joke about home schooled children and their parents being the single greatest challenge to our way of life. I can take the joke, but I won't let the myth stand. People are individuals, and don't fit into your tidy little behavioral packages. As much as you preach about the evils of home schooling, your education does not seem to have provided you with that one simple truth. I may not be an expert (and never claimed to be, either), but it doesn't take an expert to see that those with myopia shouldn't give lessons to others on how to see "the whole big picture."
