(12,200 posts)... Mr Tea party himself... He wants to sit where Boehner is sitting, as Speaker of the House. Incidentally, that may be what Boehner is trying to do...to keep Cantor/Tea Party in check. I think maybe Boehner is thinking about the history books at this point... his legacy as the Speaker of the House? Nahhhhh. Maybe I'm biased (I am
), but I can't imagine that his term as Speaker could be interpreted as a success. As far as the country goes, his (and McConnell's Sen leadership) tenure could be truthfully described as a total failure, since they would not work with the House/Sen Democrats to pass desperately needed legislation to create jobs, or any number of other bills that are just sitting there, ready to to be debated and passed. Besides that, I'm hearing mixed messages out of Boehner's mouth, seems like every day since the election. But it all comes back to this: They can't be trusted. Their party screwed this country for 8 long years before PO was elected, and for the last two years have stopped everything... They were soooooooo sure that PO would be defeated. They were banking on it. But they fell flat on their faces, are in disarray, and frankly probably don't know what to do now. It is so dangerous to have such crazed political zealots holding this country back.
