Garry Wills is a very respected historian; he makes some excellent points about the fundamental issue of who Romney is. I think we had it pretty well figured out that Mittens is an empty suit who wanted to be President because he wanted to be President. But Wills has gone further and compared him to other losing candidates who, after losing, went on to careers of public service. He is speculating that Romney will just go back to making money, and I'll bet that's exactly what happens.
