reason why Obama was our 1st AA POTUS. I remember in the early days of Obama's candidacy, his mixed race heritage wasn't immediately embraced by the black community, with complaints that unlike forerunners such as Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton, he wasn't "black enough". Obama walked a tight line to get elected in the first place, and I don't know why anyone expected him to take the oath of office and immedately become Malcolm X. It boggles the mind.
