Probably from the Honpa Hongwanji Mission, a Pure Land sect foundational among the Japanese immigrants there over a century and a half ago. I’m just guessing — I didn’t steal the book and it was a long time ago.

Anyway, what’s it to ya? If you don’t like a religious book, leave it shut.
