He had the nerve to say Nixon got $18 million for the tapes. As if there wasn't a law passed after Nixon that decreed that documents are the property of the US. If he couldn't get money from the American government, maybe he thought he could get money from his authoritarian buddies.

He wanted to monetize his mug shot for the NYC arrest.
