7. Its a press pool story until trial...

The networks have sent everyone live to the scene and cleared the schedule tonight to have 4-hour panel discussions that will regurgitate the same facts all night long. The coverage is miles wide and inches deep. That's my beef with the handling of this situation...no attempt to educate or inform the public beyond headline grabbing sound bytes.

I think the real issue is broader and society-wide lack of anything close to an attention span, but that no more exonerates the press for not trying harder.
