The Cheese Board Pizza: My Answer To Papa John's. Time for our own CHICK-FIL-A moment! [View all]

I'm looking at YOU, Wisconsin!

Fed up with plutocratic-class executives screwing their workers over, lowering their wages, reducing their hours, and increasing their prices (AND profit margins), while being able to blame it all on "Obamacare?"

Maybe it's time for the left to have our own CHIC-FIL-A MOMENT?

Check this out: WORKER-OWNED PIZZA

http://cheeseboardcollective.coop/pizza

That's right, a pizza place owned by the workers. You people in BERKELEY should frequent this place, and boycott Papa John's.

DO YOU KNOW OF ANY OTHER CO-OP OWNED PIZZA PLACES???
PLEASE POST THEIR LOCATIONS IN THE COMMENTS THREAD!

Ever heard of 'FAIRTRADE COFFEE?' I see people buying it every day in an effort to keep workers in Africa from being exploited by the coffee companies. Well, there's an equal amount of exploitation going on here. Why not put your stomach where your ideology is, and frequent cooperatively owned pizza places.

Better yet, why doesn't one of the higher profile worker's unions start up a national franchise? They have the financial resources to do it (start up money from union dues).

Best place to start? THE HOME OF AMERICAN CHEESE! Wisconsin!

How about encouraging the SEIU (http://www.seiu.org/) to start up a few pizza parlors in the urban centers of Wisconsin? Start up money from union dues. Hire union members, pay them decent wages, give them HC and retirement benefits....and encourage the other union members not to buy pizza from any other franchise?
