(9,893 posts)42. David Gergen appeared extremely agitated on Wolf Blitzer's CNN program today.
He was on a panel discussing this matter.
Gergen was very upset that the FBI would dig deep into someone's e-mail based on a non-threatening e-mail sent by that someone.
Me thinks that Gergen has some stuff in his e-mail that he or someone else don't want to go public.
Nonetheless, I think that there is a real civil liberties issue here. The FBI went over the line in part because the agent seemed to want a closer relationship with the recipient of Broadwell's not exactly threatening e-mail.
