There are some spectacular landscapes. But ... your weather! I've never experienced such harsh and radically changing weather in my life! 80 degrees one day and snow the next?! So bizarre! And unbelievably intense mountain thunderstorms that seem like the end of the world is nigh. Personally, I can't stand being landlocked like that and I don't like the high elevation (makes me feel like a piece of tired, dried-out leather), but I can see why a lot of people enjoy Colorado. And it's been great to see it transform politically over the 35 years I've been visiting that state. Oh, and Red Rocks kicks ass! Best concert venue evah!
