7. I sometimes get the impression DUers link more to the things they oppose

...than to that which they ostensibly support.

Right wing news and websites have a very narrow and incestuous base. Schadenfreude and fear-surfing by Progressives is probably providing them with a significant degree of exposure, site rank and ad revenue that they would not otherwise get.

There is also the more insidious effect where some people focus so intently on Republicans for gratification that they are virtual strangers to anything positive the Left has to offer (and so react to proposals from the Left as if they were alien). They actually seem to need these RW personalities in their lives.

It would help our cause to promote some awareness of how our postings and where we spend our time affects the rest of the info environment.
