14. I find myself playing "if I ran MSNBC".

If I ran MSNBC, Priority One would be moving Ali Velshi to five-days a week.

Priority Two: FIVE DAYS A WEEK in prime time. Across the board. NO MORE of this “one talent gets coddled annd only has to come in on Mondays and somebody else fills out the rest of the week.” NO MORE. Rachel, it’s FIVE or NOTHING.

AND IF it winds up being nothing, then Ali Velshi takes that 6pm shift, FIVE DAYS A WEEK.

I’d move Chris Hayes. OUT of his slot so maybe Alex Wagner moves in there so she still gets an hour, and leads the prime time block-East Coast. There are several two-hour anchor slots during the daytime schedule. I’d break one of those up and give Chris Hayes one of those hours.

(Full disclosure: I haven’t yet been able to forgive him for so relentlessly trying to shove Bernie Sanders down our throats. EVERY frickin’ Friday! He only came around to Hillary after she had the nomination locked up and even he finally realized Bernie was a lost cause. Bernie is a boutique candidate. Ardently followed by a select group of voters. But that group in no way has the numbers to propel its favorite into the White House. With apologies to Bernie fans, who I KNOW mean well, but BERNIE doesn’t sell to the larger demographics of voters. He comes across as the “cranky old man” who inspires more annoyance than support.)

Just my opinion, and I’m way too old and long-disconnected from any network involvements I used to have.
