This is what the GOP is all about. It started with Reagan, and the compassionate conservative ideal. That was just gently warmed up Jim Crow.
Next came the "Thousand Points Of Light" which was just another creative retelling of "screw the little people" told by a southern gentleman. The next generation of Bush spoke of the same ideals, warmed over Jim Crow.
Ah, but then DFT came down the escalator and spoke openly. He'd spent his life denying fair housing to minorities and blatently cheating on his taxes. He legitimized the n-word and all those hidden Jim Crow worshipping Rednecks came out of the woodwork.
This is what the GOP has been for 50+ years. It's nothing new, it's just out in the open.
