Just as the vanquished Germans post-WWI refused to accept they were not superior and were thus quite open to Hitler's missives (and Jew-blaming). Musk is not unlike many (not all) enabling German people who post-war claimed they were NEVER NAZIs, yet can refuse the designation only on a technicality. And, he is doing everything possible to enable racism, misogyny, and yes, anti-semitism while asserting his own brand of authoritarianism. If, as you claim, he were only in it for the money, he's shown himself to be a damned piss-poor money manager, given he is bankrupting Twitter at the expense of Tesla and his other investments.
