I am a newbie here--long time reader but I am not really into forum posting so I have never bothered to join until now.

But I have a few questions--and I am hoping some of the people here can help me out.

1) My student loans are currently in default (don't judge). I know that Obama proposed help for student loans--can someone point me to where I can find out about what he is going to do to help us.

2) I am long-time unemployed in Ca. but don't qualify for medicaid and can't afford private insurance. In a year, medicaid will have to help me--but I can't wait until then. I have a health problem that I need to get checked out (possibly a tumor). Does anyone know of a free clinic in Northern California where I may be able to be seen?

thanks to all you activists for fighting the good fight. I am not really an activist myself (don't generally talk and think about politics every day--but I do vote and appreciate all of you).
