64. You remind me of a Nero Wolfe novel

Sherlock Holmes had Professor Moriarty, so Rex Stout had to come up wiht a criminal mastermind for Nero Wolfe to outwit, and he called him Arnold Zeck.

When Archie Goodwin first saw him face to face, he sadi (I'm paraphrasing, but the substance is right, and the part in quotes is right) a mistake had been made when Zeck was born, in that he had been goven the eyes of a shark instead of human eyes. "They did not now look like shark's eyes, because Arnold Zeck had been using them for forty years, and that made a difference."

It's still creepy after all these years.
