39. Don't mistake bigger actions or ones that weren't done or possible in the past for

change in political direction. The ideals of America's liberals are essentially the same as they were 70 and 270 years ago. And the Democratic Party has been wonderfully stable over the past century. Proven -- by many studies.

We owe everything we have to that. Just imagine where we'd be if our liberals were as ideologically rudderless and corruptible as so many conservatives. And our liberal, progressive goals instead of continuing to develop with change of situation disappeared when traditional conservative goals did.

But they didn't. Those who soaked up that shift premise without examination might did into themselves to find their liberalism. They'll realize the don't need to swing far left to want to accomplish what they already do.

For those who realize they're already there, no need to shift either.
