(16,620 posts)That, along with his malignant narcissism and antisocial personality disorder, is what makes him scary to me. He's incapable of caring about anyone but himself: he sees people as nothing more than objects to be manipulated or ignored as he chooses. I agree that he'd use a child (or anyone else who was handy) as a human shield.
Lawrence O'Donnell said last night that TFG fears humiliation more than anything in the world, and that mugshot would have been incredibly humiliating for him. I agree.
He's trying to look like a tough guy there, but to me, he looks like a wounded animal, ready to do just about anything to anyone if he thinks it might help him. He's cornered, he knows it, and he HATES it. I can see his fear, and I can also see his towering anger at being in this humiliating position. Never mind that he put himself there through his own actions. When he's in trouble, he blames others, never himself, because he's not capable of anything else.
Yes, he's a stone cold coward, but that makes him more dangerous, not less, imo.
