It's the damage to the putting green it can cause. Groundskeepers need both serious expertise and years of tending a course to get that flat, compact turf surface that golf needs to work right. Even one golf cart on the green in the wrong conditions can undo all of that hard work, and require weeks or even months to fix.

Now I'm no fan of golf, and I really despise the waste of land and water tof the courses. But it's still disgusting to undo that kind of work, all because you're too bloody lazy to walk a few meters.
