(8,582 posts)They're awesome -- smart, progressive, globally minded, not religious, and they see through political propaganda, unlike many older people. And they've got an outstanding record of support for Democrats. They went for Biden by 65 percent! So I really don't understand the knee-jerk bashing of Gen Z that goes on around here. They (and Black women) have saved our asses the last three elections.
The problem is with the Silents (who are a dwindling but very conservative --yes, in general--voting bloc), the Boomers (also dwindling but still a huge chunk of the electorate; generally better than Silents but still not so hot, yes, in general, many exceptions, blah blah) and my stupid age cohort, old Gen Xers, born mid-to-late 60s and indoctrinated on Reaganism in our youth. Again, exceptions abound, including myself.
