Showing Original Post only (View all)Glued their feet to the stadium? [View all]
Okay, I don't know anywhere else to ask this question, besides, DUers seem to be able to answer anything.
Tonight's first Women's US Open Tennis semi-final match was interrupted for 45 minutes by a group of four (three ?) "environmental protestors" in the upper tier of seats, shouting something. Reports are that one or two of the protestors "glued their bare feet to the stadium floor".
Anyone have details? What kind of glue? How did security people unglue them?
I was on my second gin and tonic when the protest broke out so I'm not too clear about the details.

I wonder what you would have suggested be done to antiwar protesters back in the day.

They gain media attention where all that is talked about is their ludicrous behavior.

If I were sure their methods were effective I certainly wouldn't mind this type of thing

Whether calling "point awarding" or not, you are clearly handing out favorable assessments...
