If you want to be considered a serious person, you should dress appropriately and an adult man should know better than this.

My wife used to say stuff like that to me. She was surprised to learn that in this country mathematicians don’t generally dress up in a suit and tie to teach at a university.

Chalk it up to cultural differences, I suppose.

It’s kind of funny seeing this, again.

I do dress up in a suit and tie every Easter and Christmas to accompany her to Mass, though, despite being an atheist.
