I don't think he can recover politically. (And the story isn't even fully out--maybe there's more...but this is bad enough to render him incompetent & his judgment suspect). You don't hear too much Republican protest, except the old "it's only about sex, look at Clinton, blah blah". That's kind of telling. You'd expect them to be all high horse & indignant.

Whatever the strategy, this backfired BAD....
