Become people smuggling industry... very different from the idea we have of plucky immigrants leaving their home and their struggle to get here (I am thinking the film,.El Norte).

These days it is much more international in flavor, East Asians, South Asians,.Africans and many others all caught up in the shady people smuggling industry.
