8. The Republican party is done one way or another

those who are still sane within the GOP will flip to become Democrats after 2024, or at the latest, 2026. The remaining die-hard GOPers will be the batshit crazy wing of the present GOP. They will shrink to become 10% of the electorate. But, they will play the kingmaker role by being the 10% that will sway votes on controversial bills making their way through Congress.

Thus, again, the conservative side of America will continue to dominate. The only way to avoid that is for the progressive side of the Democratic party to gain leadership position and install a Speaker who speaks progressivism. Then, that Speaker can choose to ignore all bills and amendments by the conservative arm of the Democratic party.
